This is a "VESA 75mm to 100mm (3" to 4"inches)LCD monitor adapter converter bracket plate/mount". THE PICTURE on this listing is completely incorrect (not to mention Ergotron is misspelled....don't drink and post!) If you search using the description I have in quotes above, you can find the correct photo/description.The 75mm holes are standard metric 4M0.7 threads. The 100mm holes are 4M clearance holes. The plate is made of 1/8" steel and measures about 5/16" (8mm) thick at the extrusion. You can use this to mount any device with 100mm VESA holes on a 75mm VESA-standard mount/arm/stand. Could be used to mount an LCD monitor on the wall. 75 mm to 100mm (3"inches to 4"inches) flat panel LCD adapter. This one was the least expensive I could find, but I was nervous that I would get the silver weird thing pictured, but I did receive the correct item (at a lower price than other merchants). Don't be afraid to order.I have the Ergotron WorkFit-S sit-stand workstation and a monitor with VESA 75mm mounting. The workstation is compatible with both VESA 75mm and 100mm monitors, but doesn't support the 75mm very well, and it won't let me swivel the monitor properly since the thumbscrews get in the way when they're in this configuration. Thus I purchased this kit, so I could attach my monitor's 75mm to the WorkFit's 100mm mount, where it would be more secure and adjustable.Unfortunately, this conversion kit seems to be designed only for mounting a 100mm monitor to a 75mm bracket - not the other way, and not the way that makes the WorkFit work properly. On the mounting plate, the 75mm-spaced holes are threaded, and the 100mm-spaced holes are large for a bolt to slide through. While the kit includes a variety of bolts and spacers, none of them fix the problem.I am very satisfied with my WorkFit so far, but this kit obviously was not meant to be an accessory for it.I had a monitor arm I hadn't used in quite a while, and seem to have lost the 100mm VESA conversion plate it came with at some point, so it was stuck at the 75mm plate that was part of the arm itself. The monitor had 100mm hole placement.This was an effective and simple solution to the problem: I mounted this to the back of the monitor, mounted those in turn to the monitor arm, and now I have more desk space again.Manufacturing costs are probably considerably lower than the pricing, but still relatively reasonably priced considering it doesn't just come with the plate, but with the various screws and methods of securing it. Solidly constructed.I purchased this item to convert my 75mm monitor to my 100mm wall mount. I had to go to the hardware store for some extra parts. It would have worked fine converting from a 75mm wall mount to a 100mm monitor. 4 stars because this isn't really clear in the product info. I wasn't surprised i had to make a trip to the hardware stores because of another review.Did exactly what I needed it to do.No complaints. No issuesWhen we received our 23 inch dual monitors we were upset that they did not fit the stand. so Amazon was very efficient in getting to us there 2 new bracket adapters.This solved our problem and we are enjoying the computer a lot more now with dual monitors. Thanks Amazon.By components I really mean pieces like the screws and the adapter plate itself; they're a high grade metal that has been well machined. Easy to install, very versatile.After purchasing a new monitor I discovered that the mounting bracket was changed. Fortunately this adapter did the trick and worked perfectly. Arrived as expected.Did exactly what I expected. I would buy again.it works but for the price, I expected better.This was exactly what I needed to mount a new computer in our Operatory!
