I, (Wife) made sure the temperature for the 1st step was at 69.2 degrees F. My husband did step 2 and did the temperature. He poured it into step 1 after exactly 1 minute of mixing with his hands and then he sees that it was setting VERY quickly. I then ask him... " Honey, what was the temp of the water?" he said "74" (degrees F). Well, I told him "DUH no wonder it set so quickly and was not as 'Liquidy" as it shows on the video. SO MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THIS STEP EXACTLY and have a digital thermometer.MORAL OF THE STORY... 'DON'T BE MY HUSBAND' lol I love him no matter what. :)the first part went super easy. however when I iced the casting stone and started to pour it, it got too think to pour the rest after the first 1/3 and shaking it to get rid of bubbles. had to hand scoop and pack it in. will post a pic after it's done setting.The stone set too quickly, so I couldn’t finish. Things were fine until this point. Of course, I don’t know how well it would turn out without pourable stone.I'll add the photo later but I must say the set up was extremely easy yet wish it could take a bit longer than 10-15 seconds especially since the casting was of my dog's paw. This was one of the last things I did with him before he had to be put to sleep. Though at first I accidentally stuck his foot to the bottom, it still came out exactly like is paw. Once I get the opportunity to clean up the paw, i'll post the photos of how it came out. So thank you for letting me create a memory of my 2yr Zephyr.Instructions are simple, but need to read several times, practice several times, first so you choose right pose, also so you understand time involved, if water too cold it will take longer to set.Have a hair drier at a hands reach, if possible a 3rd person for unforeseen needs :)I've used this product twice now. Both times came with amazing results. The directions will make you laugh with the incorrect grammar but the product is excellent, and the best value for your money too. The directions say to mix the contents with an electric egg beater which I did the 1st time. I also whisked it with a fork and it too, not as good but still very well.Easy for first time usersI bought this to do a hand cast of my parents hands for their anniversary. The kit itself was easy to use, but a bit messy! You will need an electric whisk and some filler for any air bubbles. It does recommend to save some plaster but it dries so quick it was unusable for the bubbles! So i used wall filler instead which blended fine. It was fascinating to see the jelly part work, and the detail is amazing that it captures. This set was nice as it came with a display block too. Just FYI too, you have to leave it at least a week before painting so it can dry out fullyMake sure you read all of the instructions and watch the video and you shouldn't have too much trouble.Purchased to give a present of children's hands for ex-wife.Make sure you are comfortable and sitting down because it will take a few minutes to get the mould right.This came out almost perfectly. Tiny part of little finger was missing, literally 3mm so just formed a new tip with the left over paste (as instructed).Bought some metallic paint and finished off nicely.Glued to wooden base with No Nails glue.Nice looking thing and although I didn't get an acknowledgement that it is nice, I'm sure the kid's mum appreciates it!Was unsure how to contact u this item didn't work been drying for 4 days and still came out mush and we done everything by the instructionsBought this product as a gift for my partner, the results were fantastic and he loved it!Preparation:Lots of steps and can be very messy I would recommend doing it outside. Defiantly watch the video before making it. The video says use an electronic whisk, we didn't I just used a normal one - took me a hot minute but it did it and we took turns with the whisk.Hand moulding:We did have to stand there with our hands in the bucket for about 15 minutes for it to set and then we had to very carefully remove our hands.We waited about 2 hours then took the mould out of the bucket and then got to the sculpture. It is beautiful and we love it!!was a bit sceptical buying this and did lots of research comparing reviews of different brands. this was one so easy to use and final finish is brilliant. we bought two and did two different hand positions, one worked better than the other but both still very good. good fun to do and as long as you spend time after cleaning it up and sanding off the bubbles then the final finish is brilliant. very happy with this purchase and the quality. would recommend
