Kit Plane Construction is a very good book. It is 480 pages long. The book is very well written, well edited, and has a touch of humor.The author covers things such as proper Air Force Navy standard bolts, types of aluminum, basic cables and cable strengths, different nuts, and many other details regarding safety standards.You will find important and interesting facts and practical matters on EVERY page! The information is slightly technical but perfect for airplane builders! In actuality, anyone who graduated from high school can understand most, if not all, of the contents of this book.There are black and white pictures and illustrations on nearly every 3 or pages. The explanations and definitions of of tool, parts, and equipment are good. I have underlined in red and highlighted in yellow nearly one out of every 3 pages in the book.If there was a community college course called "Kit Airplane Construction, this book should be taught in schools as the main or supplemental text book!When you read this book, one thing becomes very clear. Personal safety of the pilot and others is the primary theme. Safety, in the construction process, is clearly the goal of this book.It only took me 4 weeks to ready every page of this book!I am now more prepared to order my first kit plane.This book is and absolute MUST for anyone who is considering building his or her first kit plane or building any home built airplane!
