Frederic Kakis is a survivor and has written the story of his family during the German occupation of Greece. It is wonderfully written and illustrated from the heart and makes you feel you are actually there with them.Your emotions will swing with them as they go from highs to lows while trying to survive and fight the Nazis. And how the brave Greeks did fight!I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to learn more about the terrible tragedy the Germans wrought on so many countries, including Greece.
