Description

A recent college grad sets out to meet her fiancé in Casper, Wyoming for a summer hiking adventure. She never makes it. Instead she finds herself lost and very alone in the middle of the wilderness. Her only companion is Rambo, a dog that belongs to the pilot of the airplane. Thus begins her heart-pounding journey through breath-taking beauty and death-defying experiences. Can she discover the primeval instinct, the trust and the inspiration it takes to survive?

Triumph Over FearThe book is an extended Freudian slip into the infantile mind of the author. Two weeks of preposterous life and death struggles in the wilderness produce only the most basic narrative themes of shallow personal reflection that can all be summed as: "I'm hungry. Do I look good? Let me tell you about my butt and underwear. Help me, God. I love my dog." So, now we know, the simpleminded author loves food, her looks, her butt, and her dog. If you want to learn anything past that, or encourage higher thinking in your kids, you will need a different book.Anyone who likes this book is either a brand new reader celebrating the step up from Dick and Jane, or someone who didn't actually read the book.I received this book as a white elephant present. I read it over a lost bet for the NFL playoffs. Lesson learned. I am now giving up on sports and betting. They are not worth the pain. I can not triumph over fear.
