Strangers in the Storm: A True Story of Love and Survival on Mount Rainier - Perfect for Adventure Enthusiasts & Outdoor Book Lovers

I was so happy to had started reading this book on a snow day, because once I started, I could not put it down. Even though I knew the story had a happy ending, I was still so gripped by the story and all the details and kept on reading, setting aside my TO DO list for the day :)) Jared and Diane did a wonderful job of telling their story, both the details of their dangerous journey and what was going on inside their heads. They also did and excellent job of explaining and teaching the reader about mountain climbing (just the right amount!), which both aided the understanding of the story and the dangers they were facing, and was also fascinating to learn. They were also honest and mature about the lessons they learned and the mistakes they made. The story also doesn't end when the danger ends, but we see the aftermath as well - both the hard and the beautiful parts of it. I don't want to write any more spoilers :))) Jared and Diane are honest, insightful, fun, and tell a gripping story -- and it's all true!!! That makes it all the more fascinating. I'd recommend this book to anyone, but I would just warn them to start reading it only when they have enough time to finish very soon, as they will not be able to put it down :))) Great read!!
